Pre All Things Must Pass
George’s songwriting began to boil over during this period, but the Beatles package could not allow for the exposure George needed to get it all out. Harrison had so many songs that he was giving away some of his best material to artists like Joe Cocker and Billy Preston. The break-up of the Beatles allowed George to begin work on what would arguably become the most successful record put out by any of the solo Beatles.
